Dear Valued Player,

It’s a pretty sad day when you have to “shut down” something you’ve worked so hard on.

That said, there’s also a time when you realize that nobody really cares. As of 3/22/2012

this server has gone white-list only. In addition, there will be no players added to the list.

This server is now officially ONLY for personal friends and family of yours truly.

For those who played up until the very end, I thank you. Your compliments on how nicely

the design of the spawn city was, how friendly the staff was, and how awesome it was to

play here have not gone on deaf ears. We really do appreciate it. We just feel that our

efforts are in vain.

So is this the end of ViperZeroOne? Not at all. The server shall go on, and so shall I. I’ve

taken on the task of hosting a weekly radio show, going by the DJ name of “Jackel”. This

project is another reason I’m not going to be able to keep the server running. I require the

bandwidth for my weekly radio show. Not that the bandwidth was actually getting used up.

Every time I checked the server it was empty. That’s the main reason why it’s being taken

down. There’s too much competition out there. There’s too many servers with donations

making them more powerful than anything I could offer. They can offer a place for 300

players, whereas I can only offer a small home for a dozen. For the benefit of the Minecraft

community I say that you’re better off on one of those servers.

So everyone, I bid you a fond farewell from the Viper-Craft staff. You might see us out

there, and if you do feel free to say hi. Till then, happy gaming!
